Carnival glass is the name given to decorative glass produced in the early 1900s that was decorated with metallic iridescent finishes that was first produced in 1908 by the Fenton Art Glass Company.
It was popular and was produced by many companies in North America, Europe and here in Australia. It peaked in popularity in the 1920s.
This bowl was made by Fenton and the pattern is known as Berry and leaf It was produced from 1912 through to around
1929. The marigold carnival coating has a strong deep orange colouring and is in excellent condition with good iridescence in light.
